Access Control and Time & Attendance Hardware Engineer

We are seeking a versatile Access Control and T&A Hardware Engineer to lead the installation, deployment, and maintenance of access control and time clock systems worldwide. This role offers flexible working hours to accommodate the dynamic nature of the job, with responsibilities spanning nationwide and global operations. The ideal candidate will excel in hardware management, client training, and technical support, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

 

Responsibilities

Installation & Deployment

  • Oversee the installation and deployment of access control and T&A hardware nationwide, across the EU and potentially globally.
  • Ensure installations adhere to client specifications and international standards.

Maintenance & Repairs

  • Conduct scheduled maintenance visits and provide timely repairs for hardware across various locations worldwide.
  • Utilise troubleshooting skills to resolve hardware issues efficiently.

Training & Support

  • Deliver comprehensive training sessions on hardware operation for clients and internal staff.
  • Offer remote support to address hardware-related queries and issues for our existing customer base.

Hardware Management

  • Maintain meticulous records of hardware details for each client, in our CRM.
  • Coordinate with logistics partners to manage stock levels and facilitate international shipments.

Spares Management

  • Manage a global inventory of spare parts, ensuring availability for maintenance visits and repair jobs in various regions.
  • Develop strategies for optimising spare parts logistics to minimize downtime.

Site Visits & Surveys

  • Conduct site visits and surveys worldwide to assess potential sales opportunities and hardware requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and customers to address site-specific challenges and opportunities.

Hardware Evaluation & Innovation

  • Collaborate with the hardware team to evaluate new products and technologies, considering their suitability for global deployment.
  • Provide valuable feedback and insights to drive continuous improvement and innovation in hardware solutions.

Flexibility & Adaptability

  • Embrace flexible working hours to accommodate global operations and time zone differences.

 

Requirements

  • Experience in installing, deploying, and maintaining access control and T&A hardware is desirable, however full training will be given.
  • PSA License or willingness to obtain a PSA certified qualification.
  • Strong technical proficiency and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse hardware environments.
  • Exceptional communication and cross-cultural skills.
  • Detail-oriented approach to hardware management and documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with global standards.
  • Clean driving license.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel extensively, both domestically and internationally, as required by project demands.
  • All candidates must possess a valid Garda vetting certificate prior to commencing employment.
