Job Title: Search Optimisation Specialist – Global Markets
Reports To: Head of Global Sales
Position Overview:
We are excited to announce an opening for a Search Optimisation Specialist – Global Markets within our team! This is a crucial role in ensuring seamless operations within Softworks.
This individual must be highly motivated and detail-oriented, as the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive, multi-lingual, and multi-platform search strategies across various regions and markets.
This role includes managing organic search (SEO), paid search (PPC), and AI-driven search technologies on multiple platforms. The Search Optimisation Specialist – Global Markets must possess a deep understanding of international search engine algorithms, diverse cultural distinctions, digital marketing best practices, and the ability to analyse complex data to drive performance and achieve global business objectives.

Role Responsibilities:
Search Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and execute holistic global search strategies across SEO, PPC, and AI-powered search platforms.
- Implement and leverage AI-driven search tools and technologies to enhance global search performance and user experience.
International & Multilingual Search Optimisation:
- Conduct in-depth keyword research and trend analysis in multiple languages for diverse global markets.
- Use keyword research to identify gaps in strategy and improvement opportunities on SERPs.
- Working with the content writers on choosing the best keywords to target for blog posts and webpages, while also seeking new ideas for blog posts based on related keywords with lots of opportunities.
- Optimise website content, structure, and technical SEO elements for improved organic search rankings across various languages and regions.
- Tailor paid search campaigns for different countries and cultural contexts, considering linguistic and behavioural differences.
- Performing an SEO audit and creating a roadmap to implement improvements.
- Providing reporting to demonstrate improvements in SEO
- Developing link building strategies
- Optimise on-page elements such as meta tags, headers, content, and internal linking for improved search engine rankings.
- Monitor and analyse website performance using SEO tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush.
Paid Search (PPC) Management:
- Manage and optimise paid search campaigns on platforms like Google Ads and Bing Ads, as well as social media advertising across various platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and more.
- Adapt campaign strategies to align with regional preferences, behaviours, and performance data.
- Create a PPC audit and present back to management on improvement opportunities, while developing a plan to implement changes
- Collaborate with wider marketing team to ensure strategy is aligned.
- Create compelling ad copy for landing pages to improve conversion rates.
- Monitor, analyse, and optimise campaign performance, adjusting bids, keywords, and ad placements as needed.
- Perform A/B testing to evaluate and improve ad performance.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyse search performance data across regions to uncover opportunities for optimisation and growth.
- Monitor and report on global search performance, providing insights and actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
- Conduct competitive analysis with a focus on local competitors and market-specific dynamics.
Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration:
- Work with content creators, developers, and global teams to ensure integrated search strategies across all touchpoints.
- Align global search initiatives with regional marketing goals and customer behaviours.
Continuous Improvement:
- Foster collaboration within the Softworks Group and liaise effectively with other departments and stakeholders.
- Maintain compliance with international data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR) and search engine guidelines.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices, particularly search engine algorithm updates, digital marketing trends, and AI innovations relevant to global markets.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects and research as required.
Requirements:
Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Google Ads & Google Analytics Certifications
Professional Skills:
- Deep understanding of SEO (on-page, off-page, and technical) and PPC best practices
- Strong knowledge of search engine algorithms (e.g., Google, Bing, Baidu), ranking factors, and best practices in various international markets.
- Proven experience in the development and implementation of multilingual and international SEO, PPC, and AI-driven search tools.
- Excellent analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret data from diverse regions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with international teams.
- Experience with machine learning and natural language processing in search for multiple languages.
- Experience managing search campaigns on various international platforms.
Tools & Technologies:
- SEO Tools: Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush.
- Analytics Tools: Google Analytics (GA4), Looker Studio, Adobe Analytics
- PPC Platforms: Google Ads, Bing Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads
- AI/Search Tech: ChatGPT (for content ideation), Google’s AI integrations

Location:
The role will be based in Softworks HQ in Bray, Co. Wicklow. We currently have hybrid working in place, combining office-based working with working from home.
