Softworks Graduate Programmes

Our globally recognised and acclaimed Workforce Management Solutions include Time & Attendance/Flexible Working, Labour Scheduling & Optimisation, Absence Management and Access Control.

We now have a fantastic opportunity for ambitious graduates seeking a challenging and rewarding start to their careers. Commencing in July 2021, this program is open to graduates who have completed a relevant course from a recognised third-level institution.

We have five graduate roles open for applicants:

  • Junior Project Manager
  • Junior Sales Executive
  • Junior IT Specialist
  • Junior Developer
  • Junior Support Specialist

Candidate Profiles

To be eligible to apply for one of the Softworks Graduate Program positions, we are looking for applicants that have completed a relevant degree at a third-level organisation. The successful candidate will be a hands-on individual and someone who is looking to be a long-term fixture in the company. We are looking for quick learners, who are ambitious and keen to work in a fast-paced environment. While fully supported every step of the way, you are someone who thrives on responsibility, challenge, and problem-solving. In return, the candidate will gain a wealth of business experience and skills as they complete placements in different parts of our business.

About the programmes

The programmes are designed to bring the candidate through all aspects of work life within a busy product and services company. At the end of their respective programmes the candidates can expect to have gained a level of experience that will uniquely position them within their industry.

Project Management Programme overview:

The candidate will learn the project management techniques inherent at all levels of software development. From creating project plans, to identifying project goals and timelines for the project to stay on track and meet deadlines, the graduate will delve into it all.

This role will require some office-based work, some client site-based work and the option of some working from home

Sales Executive Programme overview

The sales graduate will assist our experienced sales team to access potential opportunities and generate leads through outbound, strategic and targeted prospecting. The graduate will be expected to build and maintain relationships with key decision makers and primary influencers in potential client organsiations. You will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge to various situations in order to help the sales team. This role will require some office-based work, and a lot of client site-based work and the option of working from home where applicable.

Junior IT Specialist programme overview

The graduate will gain valuable experience as part of a highly experienced IT team. The right candidate will have a strong understanding of computers and how they operate, which includes an understanding of hardware and software, operating systems, and basic computer programming.

On finishing this programme, the graduate will have gained experience that will uniquely position them in the IT industry.

Junior Developer programme overview

The graduate will work alongside a team of experienced developers, assisting them with designing, building, maintaining, testing and deploying the software. Delphi (object pascal) will be your primary development tool alongside HTML/ Javascript and CSS. You will have a passion for keeping up to date with new technologies, for creating innovative software products and developing simple solutions to complex problems.

Junior Support Specialist Programme Overview

The successful candidate will be an energetic individual that loves to problem solve. You will work directly with our technical support team, supporting softworks customers via telephone, email and the web. The graduate will have an ability to demonstrate and promote excellent customer service in handling any customer queries..

Requirements:

  • A relevant 3rd level degree
  • Strong communication skills – you must enjoy interfacing with customers and be confident in representing the company
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills are essential
  • Ability to work flexibly and co-operatively to solve problems and achieve team goals
  • Ability to exercise initiative and to embrace and adapt to change
  • Must be a strong team player and also able to work on own initiative

Selection Process

Short listed applicants will be invited to attend an interview. Referees will be required following interviews. If you are successful, you will be likely to commence employment with Softworks in June 2021.

Training

A training program will be tailored to your needs and will include formal and on the job training.
